Seiko has unveiled a new Prospex diver’s watch, offering three days of power reserve and 300 meters of water resistance. This upgraded model builds on the popular SPB143, a vintage-inspired diver’s watch introduced in 2020.
Key improvements include the in-house Calibre 6R55 movement, which extends the power reserve to 72 hours. Water resistance has been increased to 300 meters, a first for non-saturation diver’s watches in the Prospex collection. The date window has moved to between four and five o’clock, allowing for a more symmetrical design and better legibility with additional Lumibrite.
The watch's design enhancements focus on comfort, featuring shorter lugs and a compact construction. It measures 40mm in diameter, 46.4mm lug-to-lug, and 13mm in thickness. The stainless steel bezel has an aluminium insert with laser-engraved minute markings and numerals for durability. A new bracelet with shorter links and a smaller clasp ensures better wrist comfort.
