Karl Hamburg Alster by Karl Lagerfeld is an aromatic, aquatic fougere fragrance for men.

Hamburg was Karl’s hometown, where he lived until he was 19. The family manor house where he grew up is near the Alster river, in Northern Germany. Flowing through the city, cascading down the Elbe and forming a peaceful lake. The fragrance is imagined as a stroll along the riverside.

In the top notes, water is given pride of place with Mandarin Sorbet and Glacial Mint accentuating the note’s elegance. In the middle notes, a soft floral trio of freesia, sage and lavender contrasts with the trail of aromatic notes on a bed of tender Moss, White Wood and Musk.
