Get out on the water and take on the adventure of learning to surf with a two-hour surf lesson at Moana Beach. Just 40 minutes from Adelaide, Moana Beach has small and consistent waves that make it the perfect South Australia beach for learning to surf.
To kick off, your qualified and experienced surf instructor will take you through what you need to know about how waves are made, surf safety, instruction and ocean awareness. That includes how to recognise and get out of a rip, how to catch waves and how to dismount and fall off safely.
You’ll go through a warm up on the beach and practice the basics before getting out into the waves. Once you’re ready, you’ll paddle out and try your skills at catching waves, mostly in about waist deep water.
Your instructors will be on hand to support you for about 1.5 hours of fun in the surf. Around 98% of students end up standing up in their first lesson so your chances are great. Learning to surf and putting your skills to the test is an exciting adventure that will have you buzzing long after you come back to shore.
