Adrenaline Adventure vouchers will remain valid for 5 years (60 months) from the date of purchase, subject to the following:

• This applies to vouchers purchased on or after December 1st, 2017. 
• If the Adventure Voucher is not booked and taken within 18 months the amount paid for the voucher will be preserved for a further 42 months but the adventure supplier will not be obliged to offer the adventure nor to offer the adventure at the same price. 
• After 18 months, if the price of the adventure has increased, an additional amount will need to be paid at the time of booking. 
• After 18 months, if the adventure is no longer available, the value of the voucher can be used on another Adrenaline adventure. 
• Weather: Many adventures are weather dependent. You will have the Adventure Provider's details so you can call to confirm whether adverse weather affects your proposed adventure. We suggest you call on the morning of your adventure if you have any doubt about the weather suitability. If bad weather affects a booking, you will be offered alternative times to reschedule at no cost to you, or provided with a credit from the supplier. if the supplier is unable to reschedule, please contact Adrenaline within 7 days of the cancellation to arrange a recredit to the payment method you used to make the booking. In the event of multiple cancellations for adverse weather or if the Adventure Provider cannot reschedule within a reasonable period of time, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with your statutory consumer guarantee rights.

Flying over the Great Australian Outback in a hot air balloon is an adventure you absolutely need to tick off your bucket list. With return transfers from Alice Springs, you'll witness the incredible effort that goes into getting a hot air balloon off the ground, and float high above the Red Centre for half an hour as the sun rises over the MacDonnell Ranges and surrounds.

Journey to the launch site in the cool pre dawn darkness and feel the anticipation build as the balloon gradually inflates. Climb into the basket and get ready for the unbeatable feeling of take off as the flames carry you into the sky. For about half an hour you'll soar over the outback as the sun rises over vast expanse of the Australian desert all around you. Keep an eye out for native wildlife - including the iconic red kangaroo - as you take in the remoteness of the landscape below.

After landing, you can get involved in assisting the crew as they pack the nylon balloon back into its bag if you're up for it, or you can stand back and watch the process. At the ballooning landing site, you can enjoy the desert tranquility as you're treated to light refreshments and snacks, still buzzing from your post-ballooning adrenaline high.

Fitness and Experience

• Minimum age is six years
• Physical fitness is not a requirement to enjoy a ballooning adventure, but passengers must be able to climb up and into the basket (approx. 1.2 metres in height) unaided using the basket foot holes and stand for the duration of the flight
• Those over 12 weeks pregnant can not fly - any pregnancy must be advised in advance
• Illness and/or recent operations that may affect the person or other persons on the tour must be notified in advance
• The packing up tasks at the end of the flight are optional and the experience provider would appreciate your assistance in these enjoyable activities - however, they do involve some lifting and participation is entirely voluntary
• Any form of disablement must be discussed prior to making a booking, and each person is considered on an individual basis
• The flight and carriage of any passenger will take place at the pilot’s discretion

• Comfortable/flexible clothes suitable to the weather on the day
• Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and sturdy footwear
• Sturdy enclosed flat shoes are essential
• Warm clothes in the winter
• It is dusty in the outback so wear outdoor clothing (preferably not white)

More Information

• Please note: Depending on many operational factors, which vary each day, passengers may be on the ground or in the balloon when the sun is actually coming over the horizon or rising, either way they will still see an amazing dawn.
• This service is subject to loadings. Flights operate daily and are not available 25 December, 26 December or 1 January
• Pickup time is approximately one hour prior to first light and you should allow up to four hours for this tour
