Reach exciting heights on a hot air ballooning flight in the Hunter Valley over Australia’s oldest wine region. Nothing compares to the feeling of taking off and soaring sky high over the landscape way below as the sun rises.

Your hot air ballooning adventure is over this spectacular Hunter Valley region of New South Wales just 120km north of Sydney. On the morning of your hot air balloon ride, you'll arrive bright and early and be taken through a safety briefing. Then the ballooning adventure really begins and you'll be in the air in no time. One moment you'll be just a few feet above the trees - the next moment you'll be thousands of feet up looking down on the valley below. Enjoy the scenic views of the vineyards, mountain ranges and local wildlife as you float through the valley watching the sun rise.

Following your flight of approximately one hour, all passengers are returned to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley resort where you'll enjoy a champagne breakfast to toast your flight.

Fitness and Experience

• Maximum weight 130kg
• Minimum height 120cm
• You must be able to stand up for the duration of the Hot Air Balloon Flight, which is approximately 45-60 minutes
• Please advise of any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
• Those more than 12 weeks pregnant cannot participate in ground activities relating to inflating and deflating the balloon and are not permitted to fly in the balloon
• Minimum age is seven (Children must be accompanied by a participating adult)

What to Bring/Wear

• Outdoor clothes are recommended (avoid whites)
• Solid shoes as the ground is often uneven covered with dew in the early morning
• It is often warmer in the balloon than on the ground
• Bring sunglasses and a cap
• Bring your camera or phone to capture the amazing views

• Flights will be cancelled if the weather is not suitable to conduct a safe flight (including strong winds, rain, fog or an unstable atmosphere)
• Flight status will be advised the afternoon before your scheduled flight
